Mobile App

tip

DiveToolbox is available on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android).

DiveToolbox is available as a native mobile app on both iOS and Android. The app provides the same features as the web version, optimized for mobile screens.

Installation

Features

The mobile app includes full access to all DiveToolbox tools:

  • Dive planner with decompression calculations
  • All gas calculators (MOD, EAD, END, Best Mix, SAC/RMV, Rock Bottom, Gas Density, ICD)
  • Gas blending calculator
  • Unit conversions
  • Saved dive plans and tank configurations
  • In-app purchase for lifetime Premium (iOS and Android)
  • Responsive design optimized for all screen sizes

Syncing

Your data syncs across all devices: web, iOS, and Android. Save a dive plan on the web and access it on your phone, or vice versa. All you need is to be signed in with the same account.

Offline mode

Dive plans work fully offline on the mobile app — perfect for the boat, dive sites without coverage, or long liveaboard trips.

  • Your saved plans live on your device. Every plan you open (or every plan the app fetched on your behalf) is cached locally. Open the app with no signal → all your plans are there, readable and editable.
  • Create, edit and delete offline. The changes are marked as pending and pushed automatically to the server as soon as connectivity comes back. If a plan is edited both offline on one device and online on another during the same window, the most recent edit wins (based on the modification timestamp) and a small notice tells you which version was kept.
  • Clear "offline" messaging elsewhere. Features that genuinely need internet (weather forecasts, dive sites, fish identifier, dashboard analytics, diver profile fetch…) show a compact "You're offline" indicator instead of a generic error, so you know what to expect.
  • A subtle top banner appears across the app whenever your device is offline, so there's never any doubt about your connectivity state.
tip

There's nothing to enable — offline mode is on by default as soon as you open a plan while online. When you're planning your day at the dock, just make sure every plan you might want on the boat has been opened at least once so it's cached.

Sign in with Google

The mobile app also supports Sign in with Google — tap the button at the top of the Sign-in or Sign-up screen, pick your Google account from the native picker, and you're in. No password to type, no verification code. Works on both iOS and Android.

See Create an Account for the full behaviour (including automatic linking with an existing DiveToolbox account that uses the same email).

In-app purchase

If you purchase Premium through the iOS or Android app, the transaction is handled by the respective app store. You can also purchase on the web via Stripe and use the same account on mobile. Your Premium access works across all platforms.

important

Do not subscribe on both the web and a mobile app store to avoid duplicate charges. Use one billing method and sign in with the same account on all your devices.
