Billing

The Billing tab in your account settings shows your current subscription status, payment method, and invoice history. From here you can manage your plan, update your card, and download invoices.

Subscription status

Your subscription card displays:

  • Current plan -- Individual, Dive Professional, or Dive Center
  • Billing period -- Monthly or yearly
  • Status -- Active, trial, cancelled, or payment failed

Plan management

You can make the following changes to your subscription directly from the billing page:

  • Change plan -- Upgrade or downgrade your subscription. Changes take effect immediately for upgrades, or at the end of the current billing period for downgrades.
  • Cancel subscription -- Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier.
  • Reactivate -- If you've cancelled but your billing period hasn't ended yet, you can reactivate to keep your subscription going.
  • Retry payment -- If a payment failed, update your card information and retry.
tip

Yearly billing saves you money compared to monthly billing. You can switch between billing periods at any time.

Payment method

View the card currently on file, including the last 4 digits and card type (Visa, Mastercard, Amex). To update your payment method, click Update -- you'll be redirected to a secure Stripe payment form where you can enter new card details.

Invoice history

All past invoices are listed with their date, amount, and status. Click on any invoice to download it as a PDF for your records.

Mobile app subscriptions

If you subscribed through the iOS or Android app, your subscription is managed through the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play). In that case, you cannot change your plan or cancel from the DiveToolbox website -- use the app store's subscription management instead.

DiveToolbox integrates with RevenueCat for in-app purchase management, ensuring your subscription status stays in sync across all platforms.

To avoid being charged twice, do not subscribe on both the web and a mobile app store. Use one billing method and sign in with the same account everywhere.
